Biden answers inflation query by calling Fox reporter SOB

WASHINGTON (AP) President Joe Biden responded to a question about inflation on Monday by calling a Fox News reporter a vulgarity.
The president was in the East Room of the White House for a meeting of his Competition Council, which is focused on changing regulations and enforcing laws to help consumers deal with high prices. Reporters in the room shouted a number of questions after Bidens remarks.
Fox News Peter Doocy asked Biden about inflation, which is at a nearly 40-year high and has hurt the presidents public approval. Doocys network has been relentlessly critical of Biden.
Doocy called out, Do you think inflation is a political liability ahead of the midterms?

(2,390 posts)This is the kind of no-nonsense pushback that Democrats need to embrace. People respect not taking shit from these assholes. Will Fox News blow it up and clutch their pearls while reminiscing about the grace and propriety of TFG? You know they will but they do that shit all day every day.
I think this kind of forceful response to stupidity is something that middle-of-the-road voters will respond well to.

(8,614 posts)It was a question not worthy of someone allowed into the presence of the president.
The answer to the question is self-evident and every political outlet has talked about it endlessly for months by now.
If the reporter wants a better answer, he needs to take a remedial course in "how to ask pithy questions".

(33,419 posts)On one hand, fuck Doocey.
On the other hand, Presidents really shouldn't use sarcasm, or call reporters (even Fox 'reporters') Sons of Bitches.
Fox and the RWNM will make hay of this; they got the reaction they were looking for.

Fox are "Major league assholes" who can "Go fuck themselves" so the RWNJ media can suck it up just like they did Bush and Cheney's remarks.

(12,221 posts)That headline is misleading. He was purposefully talking to someone next to him (knew he was on a live mic), and called him a stupid SOB.
He wasn't answering a question.
Shame on AP.
