Howard, Morgan State, UDC targeted in new round of bomb threats against local HBCUs

Officials are investigating bomb threats made against Howard University, the University of the District of Columbia and Morgan State University — less than a day after multiple, historically Black schools were targeted by similar threats.

Morgan State — the largest of Maryland’s HBCUs — is now advising people on its Baltimore campus to remain where they are amid a bomb threat, and has moved all classes online for the day as emergency personnel assess the situation.

The District’s Howard University issued an all-clear around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday after police swept several buildings in its Northwest D.C. campus and deemed them safe.

Howard University said it received a new threat just before 3 a.m. Tuesday that named “multiple areas” of its main campus, and asked anyone present to shelter for over two hours while the Metropolitan Police Department assisted Howard police in searching for explosives.

This story is about a second round of bomb threats, not yesterday's bomb threats.

One of the officials said "We intend on prosecuting those responsible"

Well will they prosecute *him*? (because we all know who's ultimately responsible)

That we have one of our two major political parties continuously stoking that racism is disgusting because their machinations are threatening the very foundations of this country—all for the purpose of gaining power and self-enrichment at the public’s expense. I will remain optimistic until 2022 elections, at which point we’ll have an indication of just how far Republicans are willing to go prevent people from voting and to throw out legal votes so they can win.

If the upcoming primary in Texas is an indication, the new voter nullification laws are having the intended effect of making it difficult to vote. Getting a mail ballot has become an exercise in futility, with voters not getting ballots on time to vote and mail them back. Getting registered to vote is the same unless you’re willing to stand in line for hours at an overcrowded county office—in the midst Level 5 Covid infections—to register in person. Suspect we will have lower than average turnout for a midterm election because Republican attempts to prevent both registration and voting are working.

might motivate a lot of voters on our side to GOTV if we get the messaging correct.

Perhaps that’s by design. If it was over the internet, I hope every tool available is used to track these scumbags.

These people are so freaked out by the idea of smart, educated black citizens (and voters) that they will disrupt their education to demonstrate their fear, hatred, and racism.

I hope these people are caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Call out "racists"? How can he keep inciting Nazis and true racists and getting away with this? I fear a violent showdown must come to show this POS who's in charge. And yes his brownshirts must be put down now also.
