Truck convoy: City 'outnumbered,' says mayor; Protesters given Monday deadline to leave

Mayor Jim Watson said on Sunday that the city was “outnumbered” and “losing the battle” against the truckers’ protest that had laid siege to the city for more than a week.

Speaking on CFRA radio Sunday morning, the mayor added that the protestors were “calling the shots.”

“The situation at this point is completely out of control, because the individuals with the protest are calling the shots. They have far more people than we have police officers, and I’ve indicated to the chief that we have to be much more nimble and proactive when it comes to these activities.”

Watson added, too, that he didn’t know when the protest might end.

If you want to protest, you do it on your own two feet without a 10 ton weapon / compensating toy to make your so-called "protest" look bigger than it is.

-Mobs forcing people to remove masks to get on the LRT,

-Women at a local emergency shelter terrorized by the constant honking and angry men outside
-Staff and volunteers at a downtown shelter were threatened until they provided food to mob instead of homeless people,

and attempting a coup of our democratically elected parliament is not protesting.

For the big rigs you will need a special tow truck and there aren't that many. The towing trucks that would do it would need protection as well. Maybe they could use military resources? Not sure it that is possible, Canadian laws are different then in the U.S of course.

A Class 8 tractor weighs 17,000 pounds.

Most heavy equipment rental places have 30,000-pound forklifts, and you can get them equipped with 8-foot forks.

Bring in a few of these forklifts and some flatbed trailers being pulled by vaccinated drivers. Start loading trucks and hauling them away. I think you'll be surprised as to just how fast someone can put eighteen tires on a truck.

A building in some of the contral area being protested - 2 arsonists lit a package of firestarter bricks up in a (?inner) lobby of a building and taped the doors shut. There was wood paneling in some section.

Very Luckily a passerby came in and put out the fire!
Someone in the building was able to see the security footage. See a photo of one of them, other poster made the photo clearer 👍. Then fire, arson unit of Ottawa twitted they were going to look into it.

Drop leaflets telling them that their trucking licenses are suspended and their vehicles will be confiscated pending resolution in a court of law. Send in small drones with chemical irritants. Spray down from the rooftops a constant mist of stinky, oily water that makes their clothes stiff and stick to their skin. Declare the trucks contraband, shoot out the tires, and seize them (this will probably take a combined military/police force). Drain the fuel in the tanks. Arrest the drivers. Make them pay hefty fines to get their trucks back, plus fines for whatever the military/police action cost. Plus they'll have to pay for repairs to the tires and fill the tanks to get home. They might think twice before pulling this kind of stunt again.
