Former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang is backtracking on his tweet defending Joe Rogan, in which he claimed Rogan isn't racist because he works with Black people.
"I don't think Joe Rogan is a racist the man interacts with and works with black people literally all of the time," Yang tweeted Sunday.
Yang, who appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience in February 2019, added, "Do I know black friends of Joe's who would swear by him? Yes I do."
Yang's comments came one day after Rogan, who has been the center of controversy regarding Covid-19 and vaccine misinformation on his Spotify podcast, issued a public apology for his past use of racial slurs.

He hasn't been that for two years now. Pretty sure most democrats want nothing to do with him.

(37,508 posts)as a go to trait. In the early days of the POTUS campaign, I was looking carefully at him, when I saw this clip, I was positive he was not ready for the position.
While this video clip is less then nothing in comparison with his racist statement in support of that Rogan guy, it was too 'fanboi' for me. (noun. (7,309 posts)And I never once ever heard him utter the "n" word, he considered it ugly. But he was a racist for sure. You don't have to have to be outwardly racist to be one.

(7,952 posts)They understand they can't be like that publicly or they will get fired. Not every racist is going to take every opportunity to commit a hate crime or would even consider it.
Often it's latent - they're not the types who are going to carry a Confederate flag or put one on their car, but they learned inherent racism in their upbringing, and often insist the "black people they know personally are different."
One of my friends started dropping the N-word once and I told him to stop that. "But I work with them and they use it. I'm using it in the same way they are - minus the hard-R which is a term of affection..."
Um, no, you're a white person in a room with no black people and you don't get to refer to anyone like that around me and expect to continue normal conversation. Yes, even if you consider yourself "a rapper".

(40,068 posts)Joe Rogan is a liberal. He has never voted for a republican. He uses racial slurs to ingratiate himself with wingnuts. He provides Covid misinformation to wingnuts. They eat that shit up and die.
He's a mole for the left so it seems.
