.... Powell and other lawyers filed a complaint appealing financial penalties ordering them to pay $21,964.75 for attorneys' fees for defendants Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. Judge Linda Parker also said that Powell and other lawyers had to pay $153,285.62 for legal fees to the city of Detroit.

(115,681 posts)When a lawyer is appealing a case (at least a normal, sane, competent lawyer), he or she has the rules of appellate procedure for that circuit open in front of him/her all the time and double-checks everything - page length, items to be included in the appendix, citations, captions - every fucking thing - before submitting it, because the courts have no mercy on people who can't follow simple, straightforward instructions. It's a lot of time-consuming busy work but it's not rocket science, so to speak. And yet the Kraken crew and other TFG-aligned lawyers seem to fuck up their filings on a regular basis.

in other words, it's their intention in having their filings thrown out in a stupid attempt to prove the courts are part of the deep state which must also be disrupted and destroyed.
On the other hand, that's likely giving them too much credit for plotting this out as a strategy to achieve that aim.
it's a wonder she hasn't been disbarred a year ago.
