Senator Manchin Casts More Doubt on Biden's Agenda With Blast on Inflation

Source: Bloomberg News

Senator Joe Manchin threw more cold water on President Joe Biden’s spending plans after inflation spiked to a 7.5% rate in January, the highest rate in four decades.

Manchin for months has been raising alarms about the impact of federal spending on inflation and in December pulled the plug on negotiations over Biden’s economic plans, citing rising prices as among his concerns.

He’s also been urging the Federal Reserve to act more aggressively to stem inflation, which he said is “causing real and severe economic pain that can no longer be ignored.”

“It’s beyond time for the Federal Reserve to tackle this issue head on, and Congress and the Administration must proceed with caution before adding more fuel to an economy already on fire,” the West Virginia Democrat said Thursday in a statement.

is corporations running wild increasing prices and lowering the quantity of their products at the same time..
They are ALL, without exception, Recording Immense increases in their profits, and framing the Biden admin for the only cause of inflation. Ever since the beginning of the Pandemic, they have all shown to be having a record boom in profits. The largest in their corporations history.......

As far as Trump, McConnell, Manchin, Lindsay Graham, etc etc etc. They are all acting like "moles" and aqents of the Russian And Chinese governments.....

And again, I must say, that the majority of the American People don't yet realize just what is happening here, by these Republicans and their so called "Republican Party"...........daily, I just have to shake my head and wonder WTF could these people be thinking.
I also wonder if the Republicans have children or grand children.......Most obviously they do have kids and grandkids, but they could give a shit about the world they are creating for them. THAT IS THE MOST FRIGHTENING ASPECT OF ALL...........

A perfect title for a book about the past 40+ years would be: WHILE THE NATION SLEPT......

it is not a federal thing that Manchin is gaslighting about, you have fucking Amazon coal companies for example raising prices and not paying taxes...and keeping wages low, the only reason why he wants this done is so that he can control wages.....raising prices will make home building more expense, for example. More than 80% of the chips for example are made outside this country....he is going around and stating that we need the federal reserve to raise rates to combat inflation...he keep's forgetting or wants to forget that this country has 1.5 trillion "tax cut" that is fucking every small to middle / low income person in this country, which has ballooned to over 30 trillion which eats into there disposable income if they have any.....especially in that income group's....when that tax cut was NOT paid for.....that is a fact....

It is beyond time Manchin.....to start having those that don't pay to pay, those that have shipped everything outside the country and bring it back in house, instead of "blaming it on high costs in this country, we are 118th in child care, and we do not and I repeat do not have tax credit for children that has now expired....thanks to guess who.....look in the mirror...)(*&&$@^*() Manchin....go away.... .

23. The Fed can only control the money supply
Fri Feb 11, 2022, 03:04 PM
Feb 2022

The tool the Fed will use is to contract the money supply under the assumption that there's too much money chasing too few goods. If that happens, interests rates will generally rise across the board. That means higher costs to borrow. There will be higher home mortgages, car payments, credit card payments, student loans and do on.

Is that what he wants?
