White House arranging meeting between Biden, DNC Chair Harrison

The White House is arranging a meeting with President Joe Biden and Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison, a Biden adviser said, which will come after reports of a strained relationship between the chair and the White House’s political operation.

The meeting will be for the pair to discuss strategy "looking ahead to the midterms," the adviser said. The Biden adviser said Wednesday that arrangements were still underway — and had been in the works for weeks, sorting out scheduling — but they did not yet know if it will be a White House visit or a phone call.

Biden met with the heads of the party's House and Senate campaign committees separately last week, the most extensive midterm strategy meetings the president has had to date with top party leaders, NBC News previously reported. Biden also announced that the DNC would transfer $15 million to those groups, split among them equally. Harrison, who lives in South Carolina, wasn't there.

Asked why Harrison wasn’t included in the White House meetings with the chairs, a Biden adviser said Harrison was "fully in the loop" on the meetings and supported the $15 million transfer, adding that Harrison had spoken to White House officials several times before the meetings and after.

I can confirm that there has been some stress between the DNC and the White House over messaging.

...it's his/her job to raise large amounts of money, support State Party building, and manage the overall Committee.

I refuse to donate to the DNC because of his constant emails asking for money and never giving any real information. He has evidently written off Texas completely.

Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison defended himself and struck back at critics Saturday night, just hours after NBC News published an article describing the growing friction between him and White House officials over his role.

My hope is that people who have time to engage in the rumor mills and this and that would actually use that energy to register a few more voters,” Harrison, responding to the criticism, told NBC News in an interview.

In his Twitter thread response, Harrison offered a list of his highlights as DNC chair, including raising roughly $150 million in 2021 — a record for the first year after a presidential election — and finance meetings in California, New York, Illinois and Washington, D.C., and hundreds of virtual events with state parties.

He quoted his grandfather as saying that if a person isn’t willing to put their name on criticism, it isn’t worth saying.

“To unnamed sources,” Harrison wrote in the final tweet, “if you expect me to go away or roll into a ball and whimper…you picked the wrong one.” He added that his focus is “upending” the GOP.

In other words. It's a bunch of Media spin bullshit. Glad he called out the "unnamed sources & shamed them for hiding their own names while trashing his.
Harrison is on board with Biden & the DNC.
