Ukraine seeks meeting with Russia within 48 hours to discuss build-up
Source: BBC
Ukraine has called for a meeting with Russia and other members of a key European security group over the escalating tensions on its border.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Russia had ignored formal requests to explain the build-up of troops.
He said the "next step" was requesting a meeting within the next 48 hours for "transparency" about Russia's plans.
Russia has denied any plans to invade Ukraine despite the build-up of some 100,000 soldiers on Ukraine's borders.
But some Western nations have warned that Russia is preparing for military action, with the US saying Moscow could begin with aerial bombardments "at any time".

Looks to me as though Vlad is determined to invade. This might be too little too late.

(23,894 posts)Are they hinting at NATO? If it is NATO, I hope they inform Putin that even though Ukraine isn't a member
of NATO, they'll help defend Ukraine because neighbors look out for neighbors.

(9,169 posts)thing to ponder is whether supposedly "reuniting" the people of the two countries is really what Vermin Vlad is really up to. I think that a case can be made that he and his oligarch billionaire pals are more interested in having control of the Ukranian economy etc. so that they can line their pockets even further. I don't think anybody should believe for one minute that he gives a damn about any citizen of either country.
