Arizona's Republican-controlled Senate passes law banning abortions after 15 weeks

Source: Axios

Arizona's Republican-controlled Senate passed a restrictive abortion bill on Tuesday that would make it a crime for doctors to perform an abortion on a woman more than 15 weeks pregnant.

Why it matters: Arizona already has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the U.S., including one that would "automatically outlaw it" if the Supreme Court were to fully overturn Roe v. Wade, which set a precedent for the constitutional right to abortion, AP notes.

The big picture: The bill, which was passed 16-13 along party lines, is the latest legislature to target abortions in the state, per the Arizona Daily Star.

Last year, Texas passed the most restrictive abortion bill in the country, making the procedure illegal after six weeks of pregnancy.

They are the nastiest, meanest subhumans on Earth, claiming to be Christians and acting like Satan.

Should be available to anyone at any time for any reason. Period. These selfish monsters want to control all women and what they do with their bodies.

Doctor just says every single one was well under 15 weeks, the end.

It's not like they come in and take samples to ship somewhere for oversight?

The expenses for that and the # of abortions every year = LOL!

Good luck ladies!

For once I hope exact science has epic fails!

For No apparent reason or science based idea. It is ALL based on religion. Specifically the imaginary myths of the Christian religion. There is NO scientific reason or social reason to do this to 100 Arizona women every month.

So about 10 percent, nation wide, of abortions are after 15 weeks. There are about 1,000 women a month who have abortions in Arizona.

And there is the risk that these women who don't want to carry these fetuses anyway will give birth and that is even more dangerous then a simple abortion.

Religion making our everyday lives miserable for their imaginary gods.
