Ukraine's military intelligence claim that Russia's elites scheme to overthrow Putin

Source: The Kyiv Independent

Aleksandr Bortnikov, head of Russia’s FSB intelligence agency, is being considered as Putin’s successor, Ukraine’s military intelligence claims.

About the Kyiv Independent:

The Kyiv Independent is Ukraine’s English-language media outlet, created by journalists who were fired from the Kyiv Post for defending editorial independence.

The Kyiv Post, Ukraine’s global voice, went silent on Nov. 8, 2021, days after celebrating the 26th year of its uninterrupted run.

The publication was shut down by the owner in his attempt to take full control of the newsroom that has always followed the principle of editorial independence.

Yet, the editorial team of the independent Kyiv Post refused to be silenced. If we couldn’t save the Kyiv Post brand, we could save its values.

On Nov. 11, 2021, over 30 ex-Kyiv Post employees decided to continue the Kyiv Post’s legacy by launching a new publication – the Kyiv Independent.

the change would only be from one dictator to another.

But it's hard to believe that this is true. A move like that would not be publicized on advance.

But it's great propaganda if issued by UKR. Putin should be getting nervous because he fell through his "cakewalk." So any rumor of his demise will get to him and increase his paranoia, which means even more mismanagement and quicker failure.

and government agencies have been checking out Mussolini's final public appearance and wondering if they can do it any better than the Italians. If anyone deserves to be made an example of, it's Putin. He's simply been a murderous, pathological tyrant for far too long.

Maybe there's a way to seal him in there and cut off communication until the new powers can establish control. The oligarchs may owe their wealth and power to Putin, that doesn't mean they are willing to lose any of it because of him. I dont expect a coup to result in leadership that cares about anyone but themselves, but some sanity would be nice and it looks like Putin has completely lost it
