Ted Cruz photographed checking his Twitter mentions immediately after aggressive questioning of SCOT

- Sen. Ted Cruz aggressively questioned SCOTUS nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson on Wednesday.
- Immediately afterward, the Texas Senator was pictured checking Twitter.
- A photojournalist with the Los Angeles Times tweeted that Cruz was "searching for his name."

Sen. Ted Cruz was photographed checking his Twitter mentions immediately after he aggressively questioned the Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson in a confirmation hearing on Wednesday.

During the hearing, Cruz went over his 20-minute allotted questioning time and repeatedly ignored requests from Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin, the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, to stop grilling Jackson.

He had been asking her about her sentencing record on child-pornography cases, a topic which she repeatedly defended throughout the week.

Shortly after the heated exchange between Durbin and Cruz, Los Angeles Times reporter Nolan D. McCaskill tweeted a photo of the Texas senator in which he appears to be looking down at his phone.

Not covering he abuse means the Majors are factoring the abuse…it’s startling truth.

Maddening what the majors don’t cover…but coverup they can do fine.

What better example of the fact that he and the rest of them do not care about her ability nor any slights in her record, they are just playing to their base and making sure they keep that anger going. And, he is shameless in his lack of ability to even try to appear respectable. It is disgusting.

I mean this is way over the top especially the way he treated the Chairman.

There should be a bipartisan panel to monitor outrageous performance rants. Maybe limit their "personal opinion" time and have a buzzer go off after 5 minutes and announce it as such.

I've long advocated for every elected official to have to sit in a chair that is wired.

Wired to deliver warning shocks, harmful shocks, and deadly shocks, depending on a percentage of their voters approving/disapproving current actions.

I'd love to see some repuglicons get fried.
