CBS News exec said the network is hiring more Republicans because 'we know' they'll take over

Source: Yahoo/Insider

A CBS News executive told staff earlier this month that the network was hiring more Republicans as analysts because he believed there would "likely" be a Democratic wipeout in the 2022 midterm elections, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday, citing a leaked recording it obtained.

Neeraj Khemlani, a CBS News copresident, made the remark just before the announcement that the network had hired Mick Mulvaney, who briefly served as President Donald Trump's chief of staff, as an analyst. The decision sparked internal backlash, The Post reported.

In February 2020, Mulvaney accused journalists of exaggerating the impact of the coronavirus to damage Trump. Mulvaney also played a key role in the campaign to pressure Ukraine to smear Joe Biden, which resulted in Trump's first impeachment.

In an apparent attempt to lay the groundwork for the announcement of Mulvaney's hiring, Khemlani told morning-show staff members that hiring Republicans would give the network better coverage, The Post reported.

(Full title: "A CBS News exec said the network is hiring more Republicans because 'we know' they'll take over after the midterms: report" )

Craven abdication of neutral reporting, in favour of access. This is How Democracy Dies. Mulvaney was a part of the blackmailing of Ukraine, and CBS wants to pay him to get access to Republicans.

is filled with traitors to America. (See below) Let the GOP run with Trump, C-19, and Putin around their
necks.

Look @ all of them who voted to let Donald Trump off the hook about blackmailing Zelenskyy and Ukraine
to rat fuck our elections by withholding military aid. They put party over our country and standing up
to Vlad Putin. Only Romney voted to hold Trump accountable.

This was Mitch McConnell right after blocking the American people and members of Congress
from seeing the evidence of Trump's trying to blackmail Zelenskyy by blocking military aid to
the Ukraine.

They've been headed down FOX alley for the last decade.

As noted elsewhere they seem to want a GOP win and have predicted a Rightward shift in American life. Now it would seem they're going to help both become true.

CBS, like its brethren, are little more than the propaganda arms of an Oligarchy where representative government is being held together by a few Federal Courts and state Courts.

Collective majorities are being overruled at every level of American government by minorities led by bought and paid for elected officials.

One can still find the truth of things only if they are willing to search around for it.

Justice matters.

He and that POS that use to be in power have blood on there hands he reinforced the BS during at the height of the pandemic called Covid and the ensuing deaths now at over 950,000 he helped in the BS with the blackmailing of a president in Ukraine...so CBS is a fucking enabler.....of BS....they like to walk around and hire people that have blood on there hands....time for billboards......and then there is the BS about Les Moonves, remember him saying trump would be good for ratings......what the fuck....

And then they are broadcasting that my vote basically does not mean shit.....why don't you just call yourself TMFSN II ( The More Fucking Shit Network II) also known as Fox News......merge with them and really show how much you hide behind the first amendment....by spewing shit from a enabler of shit trying to still over throw the government ........

These people lack principles. Principle people are a thing of the past, at least on the republican side, they will hire a serial killer if they feel it will improve their ratings, or help them politically.

There is a push to promote trash, ignorance, dishonesty from the right, they don't care about anyone but themselves, that is why when they get caught they always blame someone else, there is no loyalty amongst thieves.

Okay! I understand CBS wants to have feedback from a republican perspective. So does that mean they have to hire Liars and people who would not know the truth if it fell on their head! Mulvaney is not intellectually honest about things that happen that the rest of us see with our own eyes. He is always on a different universe or planet.
