France's Le Pen warns against sending weapons to Ukraine

PARIS (AP) — French far-right presidential candidate Marine Le Pen warned Wednesday against sending any more weapons to Ukraine, and called for a rapprochement between NATO and Russia once Moscow’s war in Ukraine winds down.

Le Pen, an outspoken nationalist who has long ties to Russia, also confirmed that if she unseats President Emmanuel Macron in France’s April 24 presidential runoff, she will pull France out of NATO’s military command and dial back French support for the whole European Union.

Macron, a pro-EU centrist, is facing a harder-than-expected fight to stay in power, in part because the economic impact of the war is hitting poor households the hardest. France’s European partners are worried that a possible Le Pen presidency could undermine Western unity as the U.S. and Europe seek to support Ukraine and end Russia’s ruinous war on its neighbor.

Putin's favorite kind of nationalism for America and Europe

"America First" really means "Russia First"

"France First" really means "Russia First"

etc.

Putin and his gang need to be dead.

And i imagine the Poles will do some work reducing that number further if hostilities were to really break out.

The fact that Russia had a bunch of T72A’s in their first wave of front line troops says all that needs to be said about the Russian army.

people just don't care as much about social issues or foreign policy as they should, the reality is, if they have less money or things are more expensive, they will turn to anyone who promises to fix it.

I mean, that's how Hitler got so popular after all.

I don't get how that makes her "far-right" when really, she's just a Putin stooge. It doesn't sound to me like she has any political philosophy or moral bearing. She's just there to do whatever Pootie wants.

Much smaller Estonia has provided aid to Ukraine than France.

if Le Putin wins and takes France out of NATO, all that will happen is that France will end up snatching defeat from the jaws of Victory and end up suffering a huge loss of prestige and support from the rest of Europe.

Is Ukraine admitted to the EU.
Ukraine admitted to NATO.
Other NATO countries moving into Ukraine and politely, but forcibly, pushing Russian troops back across the border.

And a border wall, like the Great wall of China, and the Berlin Wall. Or a DMZ at least.
And a global effort to rebuild Ukraine.

And of course, Marine Le Puke to sink below the political waves.

But she is playing a very old game.
You talk to the little people, explain how worthless and unrewarding their lives are, then explain it's not their fault.
Point them at whose fault you think it is - in this case, Macron - and wind them up.
Then they will vote with you, and expect . . . . well, everything in their lives to get better as if by magic. (But it doesn't.)

Didn't work in the past for those politicians who spun that story, am I right, Mr failed#45?

But the little people fall for it every time!

This nationalism virus is everywhere.

And I have said for years that viruses would be the downfall of humans. Doesn’t matter if it’s an actual biological virus or a political virus, it is spreading and causing humans much destruction.
