Source: NBC via AOL
The suspect in a South Carolina mall shooting in which nine people were wounded has been released under house arrest and ordered to wear an ankle monitor after a judge set a $25,000 surety bond.
The suspect, Jewayne Price, is also barred from contacting any of the victims, Columbia police said on Twitter.
Price will be allowed to travel from his home to work while he is under house arrest.
Neither Price nor his attorney could immediately be reached for comment.
Initially three people were suspected and detained, but two were released, officials said.

Rutherford also stated in a briefing after the bond hearing that he has fully cooperated with police and has been charged with unlawful carry of a pistol because he does not have a Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) but owns the gun legally and it is registered to him.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott released a statement on Sunday that stated that Price was charged by RCSD with accessory after the fact in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Amon Rice. The statement said in part:"

(1,159 posts)$25k is pretty steep for a gun possession charge for someone claiming self-defense. Seems the stand your ground, good guy with a gun crowd would be giving him the Kyle Rittenhouse treatment. Or, nah.

The defendant has cooperated with police, he said. The weapon in question is legally registered to Price, but the attorney said he did not have a concealed weapon permit for carrying it in his clothing in public.
