Stamp honoring Nancy Reagan unveiled at White House
Source: The Hill
Jill Biden is putting her stamp on bridging the partisan divide, helping to unveil a new postage stamp that honors former first lady Nancy Reagan.
The first lady was on hand Monday at the White House to give the first glimpse at the U.S. Postal Service stamp featuring the image of former President Reagans wife.
Nancy Reagan served the American people with grace. She understood that the role of first lady came with inherent pitfalls and scrutiny, Biden said...

(114,503 posts)Some have made their mark on history. Most have borne a tough job that came with unfair criticism of every aspect of their lives with grace and good humor.
I have no idea what she was like in person, of course, but she came across as a flinty scold in office. Ron, Jr. and Patti turned out OK, so she must've done something right.

(20,200 posts)that Malaria would divorce the Big Orange Pig the day after he left office, but I guess money can make even the worst smelling shit tolerable.
Just like Trump makes everyone who works for him sign a NDA, I'm sure he has Malria legally hogtied so she can't get away easily, and is never allowed to breathe a word about their marriage.
Someday, long after TFG is dead, there will be a "tell-all" book written by someone connected to Malaria. I won't live to see it, but many, many people will want to read about what it's like to be married to the sleaziest, most criminal, most vain asshole on the planet.

(10,943 posts)... I wonder if Ron or Patti attended? They should speak more about their parents, especially Nancy... I think Nancy was a good influence on Ronnie. But her press image was awful... I believe she had a lot more "influence" than most people think... she gave him that glowing Mike Pence look while he spoke, but told him what to do when the cameras turned off! Mike Pence would not be so brave!

Ronnie's memory and speech problems were noticed and publicly commented on as early as 1984. So, you know he had problems before then. I think Nancy stepped in and pretty well directed Ronnie in the presidency. She was nicknamed d****n l**y (OK, so I just found out that d****n l**y is frequently an Asian and female slurr, so I'm modifying the writing of it, sorry folks I had no idea.). So, all those food stamps, welfare and assistance to the poor that were severely cut or ended, for tax giveaways and ponies for the filthy rich, were fully supported by Nancy.
She was not the most sympathetic person and really big into fashion......much like Malania.......along with really into the magic of astrology.
For some reason, Americans think that their First Ladies are bigger hearted then the vicious and stupid GOPers they vote in.

But a 50-year delay for a first lady? And for the many millions of citizens whose faces don't twist ugly at the sound of her name? Way past time.
