Dmitry Medvedev: 'I'll Do Anything to Make Ukrainians Disappear'
Source: The Daily Beast
The outside world used to consider him the sane one at the Kremlin top table. But Dmitry Medvedev, who served Vladimir Putin as prime minister and famously did a job swap to keep him in power for life, is every bit as genocidal as his boss when it comes to Ukraine. In a post on social media app Telegram, where he routinely calls for the extinction of Ukraine as a nation, Medvedev wrote: People often ask me why my Telegram posts are so harsh. The answer is I hate them. They are bastards and scum. They want death for us, for Russia. And as long as Im alive, Ill do anything to make them disappear. See you in The Hague, Dmitry.

Short article, that is all.
Hey, Dmitry, we already know, but thanks for reminding us. Lashing out because things aren't going so well?
Time for Ukraine to kick Russian ass back to the border.

(111,245 posts)which is why their "army" has been such an efficient war crimes machine.
Forcing them to the Donbas has created another grotesquery of history--this is the very region resettled by Russians after Stalin starved or imprisoned the Ukrainians who were private land holders in his rush to collectivization, with predictable results then and Russia genociding their own people now.
Genocidal maniacs need to be stopped and European wars tend to spill out over the entire planet. Putin's mouthpieces like Medvedev might be like right wing shock jocks, each trying to outdo the other as they fight over market share. Or they might be poised to take over when Putin has the good sense to drop dead and they'll be worse.
It's hard to know how this will ultimately play out. I'm a little surprised Putin is still in power, frankly, since he has made the kind of blunders that usually get leaders assassinated sooner rather than later. My best guess says they're trying to come up with an alternative who isn't Navalny, because he'd toss most of them into prison fast.

(3,803 posts)They are a little short on generals in Ukraine. Will to step into a uniform, take up a weapon and go to the front to lead your conscripts?
Yeah, thought not.
Fuck Russia. Fuck Chickenhawk Medvedev.

(18,624 posts)i never understood why he handed the power back to Putin, but I was able to relate to him.
He was a head banging rock & roll fan with long hair. Loved many of the same bands as me.
Maybe he was on the spot and had to say this or be sent away.
Or not.
