positive for COVID-19 for the 3rd time in a year

Republican Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time in a year on Monday.

"Today Senator Wicker received a positive result for COVID-19 after taking a required test," Wicker's communications director, Phillip Waller, said in a statement. "He will be expected to miss votes and committee business this week until he is able to return in person to the Senate."

Wicker, who is fully vaccinated, previously announced a positive test in February 2022 and in August 2021.

Before a judge appointed by former President Donald Trump struck down mask mandates for planes and other public transportation in April, Wicker led the push in the Senate to end it via legislation.

From his perspective, he go sick. BFD, everyone gets sick. He survived. What's all the fuss about? Remember, these people only think something is "real" if they experience it themselves. He didn't die, and he didn't get sick enough to have to resign. So the "it's nor worse than the flu" attitude is, for them, the only sensible attitude to have. Would he change his attitude if this time he ended up dying? Probably not. After all, people die from the flu. It happens.

It's like school shootings. It's not real if it's not happening to them.

If he has any long term symptoms he’ll deny their existence or chalk under up to “the flu.” Reality has to be a real bitch to these people.
