GOP commission refuses to certify New Mexico primary vote

Source: Politico

SANTA FE, N.M. — New Mexico’s secretary of state on Tuesday asked the state Supreme Court to order the Republican-led commission of rural Otero County to certify primary election results after it refused to do so over distrust of Dominion vote-tallying machines.

Democratic Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Olive’s request came a day after the three-member Otero County commission, in its role as a county canvassing board, voted unanimously against certifying the results of the June 7 primary without raising specific concerns about discrepancies.

The commission’s members include Cowboys for Trump co-founder Couy Griffin, who ascribes to unsubstantiated claims that former President Donald Trump won the 2020 election. Griffin was convicted of illegally entering restricted U.S. Capitol grounds — though not the building — amid the riots on Jan. 6, 2021, and is scheduled for sentencing later this month. He acknowledged that the standoff over this primary could delay the outcome of local election races.

“I have huge concerns with these voting machines,” Otero County Commissioner Vickie Marquardt said Monday. “When I certify stuff that I don’t know is right, I feel like I’m being dishonest because in my heart I don’t know if it is right.”

tirelessly for the democratic party candidates. It's an extremely red, very nasty district. They have gone after Duhneece with all their nastiness for years.

But she still stands, and keeps working for the Dems!!

4. I haven't researched the topic, but don't all Dominion voting systems have paper backuos?

Those in Georgia did. The voting machines to be wary of are actually those used in more Republican states, the ES&S machines that have no paper backup and programming that no one is allowed to see because they claim it’s a trade secret. Every state runs tests prior to an election. None run them immediately after.

10. they are trying to get a case before scotus - at least 2 justices have hinted they want one....

Basically the majority wants to change the law so that only state legislatures can determine the outcome of an election and certify results. No state or federal courts need (or could) get involved.

Two were brought as emergency requests already and were destined for the shadow docket but kav balked and said they should be heard in full session.

This may be another attempt to get it to shadow docket. Once the courts step in to order certification, it can go straight to scotus.

It's been discussed by kagro on his daily show. Probably on kos as well.

When I asked questions and spoke of their lies at a county commission meeting, I was accused of making threats.
Another man who spoke truth to them was removed for not putting his hand down.
Chair of Republican Party tried to use our Sheriff Office to remove me when I was legally electioneering.
I will fill DU in soon.
