In the race for Texas governor, 48 percent of voters support Republican incumbent Greg Abbott, while 43 percent support Democratic challenger Beto O'Rourke, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pea-ack) University poll of Texas registered voters released today. This compares to a Quinnipiac University poll in December 2021 when 52 percent of voters supported Abbott and 37 percent supported O'Rourke. In today's poll, Republicans (90 - 5 percent) and independents (46 - 40 percent) back Abbott, while Democrats (96 - 2 percent) back O'Rourke

Dan Patrick is reelected. Not just a second to the Governor, the LT Governor arguably wields more power given their active role as President of the Texas Senate. Thus all legislators have been in lockstep with Patrick for the past four years and Abbott has had to bend (not that he was much less extreme, but still... )

But damn, I want Beto to win.

says it all. "Parents", not just women, it includes fathers and relatives, friends and communities as well.

Even if every adult at the school have AR-15s, I imagine that alone would scare the crap out of the students. And if an gun attack happens, wild wild west and again innocents will be mentally messed up, injured and gawd forgive die.

I personally don't want my children to be subject to that.

P.S. everyone in the USA wear bullet proof vest, that's not a democracy, that's fright.
