Prosecutor identifies Alabama church shooting suspect

Source: WIAT

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — As a drone buzzed overhead Friday morning, a day after a fatal church shooting in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, law enforcement focused their attention on the home of a registered gun dealer.

The home in Vestavia Hills, located on Sicard Hollow Road, belongs to Robert F. Smith, who Jefferson County DA Danny Carr said has now been charged with capital murder.

Smith is accused of opening fire at a potluck in St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, killing three. He is being held without bond, authorities said.

Had to be a gun shop because he sure as f*** can't fight.

If this doesn't prove compensation I don't know what does.

With who he shot it probably comes down to him being rejected by them because of his conservative or gunned up views so he shot them.

Fucking loser. Sorry I mean fucking loser murderer.

I believe that he opened fire after.

I can’t wrap my head around it.
Mental illness is about the only thing that makes sense.

I have been to Episcopal pot luck dinners before. Part of the reason we do them at my Church is just to provide quality social activities for people that might be alone. Even during Covid we had virtual dinners with older members to keep them from being isolated.

In my experience older life time Christians have internalized there faith and are kind in a sublime way.

That kid went in and was nice and talked to people. They welcomed in the devil.

I can't wrap my head around any of these killings.
