Pam Anderson wins Colorado secretary of state's primary, handily beating indicted Mesa County Clerk

Source: The Colorado Sun

Republican Pam Anderson handily defeated two other candidates, including indicted Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, in Tuesday’s secretary of state primary. The Associated Press called the race on Anderson’s behalf at about 8 p.m.

At that time, Anderson had received 45% of the vote, to Peters’ 25%. Mike O’Donnell, a nonprofit administrator from Yuma County, finished with 29%. Anderson, a former Jefferson County clerk, will challenge Democratic Secretary of State Jena Griswold, whom Republicans have accused of politicizing the office that oversees elections and business filings.

The secretary of state contest drew national attention as a test of whether GOP voters would embrace the election conspiracies espoused by Peters. Anderson, who also led the Colorado County Clerks Association and has worked as an election consultant, pledged during the primary to be a nonpartisan administrator.

“Colorado Republicans have nominated a professional, competent, experienced leader,” Anderson said. “And that’s a big deal. On the campaign trail, there are people of good conscience that have questions (about elections). We need someone who can answer them and not vilify people.”

Peters was a total wack job. She claims she's seen enough evidence to believe the election in 2020 was stolen.

She's either a liar or a real idiot.

Secretary of State is basically in charge of the more boring parts of government like elections, driver's licenses, and such.

"Unlike Hollywood's Pamela Anderson, Colorado's Pam Anderson is an elections professional who has decades of experience building and improving elections. She's not just playing the part of Secretary of State, she has the qualifications and the best chance to win in November."

(The candidate's real name is Pamela Y. Anderson - see page 7 here.)

political seat in the country.
Our people will be regular Dems with a famous name, like there's a George Clooney in Utah somewhere, and Republicans will not be able to stop themselves from voting for them
It's a plan that can work.

Controversial Mesa County clerk Tina Peters is refusing to concede after losing her efforts to secure the GOP nomination for secretary of state in Colorado.

"Anderson beat Tina Peters, the embattled County Clerk from Mesa County. Anderson took 44.7% of the votes; Mike O’Donnell took 28.8%; and Peters secured 26.5%," CBS Denver reported.

The Associated Press also projected Anderson won.

Colorado Public Radio reported Peters, "gained a national profile for allegedly violating the security of her office's election equipment to allow an authorized person to hunt for evidence of fraud. She is currently under criminal indictment and has been banned from overseeing elections in her county this year."
