Just eight Republican senators have said they are watching the explosive hearings from the House select committee investigating former President Donald Trump and the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, according to a new report.

{RawStory's Matt} Laslo interviewed all 50 Republicans in the senate over the last month. He found that only eight “report actively tuning in to some or all of the proceedings.” Another 10 senators said they’re “reading press clippings or plan to read the special committee’s report once they conclude their investigation.”

“The other 32 Republican senators have actively tuned out the committee,” Laslo reported.

“No. I have zero interest in what I think is an extended Democrat campaign commercial,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) told Laslo. “So boring.”

Hawley has no doubt heard about Thursday’s hearing. The Missouri Republican featured prominently in an exhibit showing how he fled from the rioters he had saluted with a raised fist earlier in the day.

I turned to Fox a couple of times to see what they were doing. They were showing some dumb sit com..........

There were some awesome points driven home during last nights program.

I kept waiting for them to slowly show picture after picture, one at a time, in memory of each Police officer who was Killed or Maimed by these MAGAT chicken shits. To me, that would have been a great ending to the night, not just showing the destruction, but the deaths.

I would still like to see an investigation into WHO orchestrated, in advance the lack of Law Enforcement at the Capitol. SOMEONE cut back on the Capitol Police, DC Police, Guard response and preparation for what was about to happen. This was INTENTIONAL... They also limited the amount of defensive garb they were allowed to wear, and cut back on the amount of weaponry they were allowed to be armed with. It was abundantly clear some one, high up, SET UP the whole group of officers for defeat. This was pre-meditated, organized and orchestrated at the highest level, from bottom to top, by SOMEONE........or group of SOMEONES.

Pence says he did which would have put him in the position of the President. My knowledge is only the Commander In Chief has that ability. He didn't communicate with the military at all. He claimed he asked for 10,000 National Guard troops and that Pelosi turned him down, but that claim has been debunked.

There is no evidence that Trump made a request for 10,000 National Guard troops to be deployed for a rally he held that preceded the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

There is no evidence that Pelosi denied such a request.
