(CNN)An arrest has been made in the stabbing death of Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German, police say.

"The suspect in the homicide that occurred on September 2, 2022, has been taken into custody," the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a post on social media.

The name of the suspect has not been released. CNN has reached out to LVMPD for additional comment.

German was found dead outside of his Las Vegas home on Saturday, according to police. The Review-Journal said German was found with "stab wounds." The Clark County Office of the Medical Examiner confirmed to CNN that the cause of German's death was multiple sharp force injuries, and the manner of his death was homicide.

..journalist?

I've never heard of the people involved, but barring some kind of love triangle thing, my first thought is that German had something incriminating on Telles. Perhaps it involved blackmail. Either way,, the fact that Telles went to German's house wearing that weird Viet Cong-looking disguise suggests that he had nefarious intent.

This story should be an interesting one as it unfolds.

Police arrested a Nevada politician in connection with the slaying of a Las Vegas journalist who had written stories about the county official, officials said Wednesday.

Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles was taken into custody Wednesday, hours after a search warrant was served at his home by police investigating the death of Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German, officials said.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo confirmed the arrest to the Review-Journal, which first reported the news, and the county's district attorney, Steven Wolfson, told The New York Times that Telles had been taken into custody.
