Source: Detroit Free Press
Set up hidden cameras to capture license plate numbers. If you go at night, show up armed.
These aren't battlefield directions. They're instructions laid out as part of a strategic operation spearheaded by prominent election conspiracists seeking to keep close tabs on Michigan's upcoming midterm election.
Michigan is one of several states targeted by the America Project, an organization led by allies of former President Donald Trump to recruit citizen election monitors in ways election experts worry blurs the lines between lawful oversight and vigilantism. . .

Show up ARMED?!?
This is going to be much worse than I initially feared. I knew Jan. 6 would be bad, but never anticipated the degree of organization we saw. This time, we are forewarned.

(1,204 posts)who used to hang out in the parking lot of the porn shop, they'd take license plate #'s to intimidate. But they never did anything with them. Showing up armed? All you have to do to get them arrested is swear to the police they pointed a gun at you and threatened you. That's aggravated assault!

(10,151 posts)When the TN legislature and county regulatory offices were considering changing blue laws, some of the Baptist Churches got it in their heads to hangout at liquor stores, and take names/numbers to embarrass and stop people from buying wine and liquor. Beer was available in grocery stores.
But no one cared. I stopped and talked to them then went into the liquor store anyway.
They did change some of the stupidest laws. But we still can Not buy wine and liquor before 10 am on Sundays.

(14,176 posts)The idea that they'd be armed when doing voter intimidation isn't surprising, but it's like something from the Jim Crow south. I fully expect them to make a move to try bringing back the jelly bean test next--and I'm not 100% confident the highest court in the land would say it's unconstitutional.
