Phoenix police have made an arrest in the break-in of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs' campaign headquarters in Phoenix, the department said in a statement Thursday morning.
Police had responded to a commercial burglary call at the office in midtown Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon.
"An arrest has been made regarding a commercial burglary that occurred near Virginia Avenue and Central Avenue on Oct. 25, 2022. More information will be released later today," the statement said.

The Phoenix Police Department has arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with a break-in at Democratic Arizona gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs campaign headquarters earlier this week.
Daniel Mota Dos Reis was booked on one count of third-degree burglary, according to the department.
On Wednesday night, a patrol officer saw a news story that included a surveillance image and recognized the man shown as a suspect who had been arrested earlier in the day in connection with a separate, unrelated commercial burglary, police said in a statement Thursday.

(12,160 posts)photos of her opponent, Kari Lake, were plastered on the screen. I thought that maybe Lake was the burglar.

(8,845 posts)that it implied it was Kari Lake's headquarters that were burglarized........again, very subtle
I don't watch much of MSNBC because I feel they subtly lean to the right on many things......

(8,845 posts)that the cops chose the description:
"An arrest has been made regarding a commercial burglary that occurred near Virginia Avenue and Central Avenue on Oct. 25, 2022".
Very subtle, as normal, not calling it for what it is: Democrat Candidate Headquarters.....
had been a Republican headquarters they would be calling it that.

(3,818 posts)Should I say: Party of Democratics ???????? Or maybe: Campaign HQ of Democatics ????????????????
Or would this work: Democrat's Campaign HQ ???????????????????
Again sorry, I sometimes get confused with the wording of something, or mis-type.........

Are they trying to imply only commercial property was stolen? What else would you steal? You can still get a lot of political info by stealing property like laptops, cell phones and hard drives.
That's some weird double speak they are using. Don't trust them.
