Putin battling cancer and Parkinsons disease, leaked emails claim: report

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Lasher (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

Russian President Vladimir Putin is battling both pancreatic cancer and Parkinson’s disease, according to a new report citing leaked Kremlin emails.

A Russian intelligence source appeared to confirm in messages viewed by The Sun what has long been rumored about the 70-year-old strongman.

“I can confirm he has been diagnosed with early stage Parkinson’s disease, but it’s already progressing,” the security services insider reportedly claimed.

“This fact will be denied in every possible way and hidden,” the source said, according to The Sun.

That would be the SMART move.
Pulling back to lines BEFORE feb would probably be a problem for whoever DID take over though. It would be seen as "weak". Russians & radical Islamists are the same in that respect; any offer of negotiation is seen as weakness.
But doing it would also allow them to try to reintegrate RU into the world again. Much like a released prisoner is SUPPOSED to be rehabilitated.
