Milwaukee Election Commission official Kimberly Zapata fired after fraudulently requesting military ballots, mayor says

A Milwaukee election official could face criminal charges accusing her of fraudulently requesting absentee ballots reserved for members of the military and sending them to a Republican lawmaker known for embracing unfounded conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.

Milwaukee Election Commission deputy director Kimberly Zapata, 44, of South Milwaukee, was fired by Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson this week after Johnson discovered she had requested the ballots. Johnson said Zapata said she committed the crime to show voter fraud was possible.

from committing such stupid acts.

Law & Order. You'd think so-called Republicans would understand that idea.

Various GOP favoring groups seem to be talking to local officials in many places about finding ways to throw monkey wrenches into the election.

My county isn't the only one dealing with county supervisors deciding that all ballots need to be hand counted. These decisions are being made AFTER early voting already on and without any plans how such counts will be done. GOP operatives were exposed for advocating this stunt in NV. Hoping they get busted for it here in AZ.

How dumb is she. Did it occur to her for one minute she might get caught and get fired as well as committing a crime and go to jail? Guess not apparently.

Yer honor, I embezzled those corporate funds just to show it was possible.
Yer honor, I mugged that old woman just to show it was possible.
Yer honor, I burned down that building just to show it was possible.

The only thing impossible is to successfully use these statements as a defense in a court of law.
All crimes that have been committed are possible, or they wouldn't have happened.
