(10,988 posts)From Pew Research
https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2020/10/15/differences-in-how-democrats-and-republicans-behave-on-twitter/
Most U.S. adults on Twitter post only rarely. But a small share of highly active users, most of whom are Democrats, produce the vast majority of tweets. The Centers analysis finds that just 10% of users produced 92% of all tweets from U.S. adults since last November, and that 69% of these highly prolific users identify as Democrats or Democratic-leaning independents.
A number of factors contribute to this phenomenon. Previous Twitter analyses by the Center have found that the platform contains a larger share of Democrats than Republicans. And in addition to being more prevalent on the site in general, the 10% most active Democrats typically produce roughly twice as many tweets in a month (157) as the 10% most active Republicans (79).
Across both parties, those who use Twitter differ in several ways compared with non-users. For instance, Twitter-using Democrats and Republicans alike tend to be younger and have higher levels of educational attainment compared with members of each party who do not use the platform.

(11,212 posts)Note he called our party the party of division and hate. Doesnt sound like the divided government happy horseshit he is trying to spin(for the spin is dollar related).
In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold... adding a movie popcorn emoji for emphasis.

(3,768 posts)And no way Id ever buy a Tesla now.
I spotted a Polestar EV here in CT in a parking lot, and had a nice chat with the owner. There are fine alternatives to Tesla.
My solar panel company (I lease) is offering Tesla battery storage, but I have read that they are backed up and it's hard to get them serviced, plus they cost a bunch, or I could lease them too. I'm holding off, LG makes house batteries, and I think Generac and others do now too.
But no way I'll give Elon Musk (Anagram: Keno Slum) any money.

(3,180 posts)GM is hoping to introduce something like 17-25 EV's by 2025. So all that expertise will be dispersed through the rest of the EV world.
Besides GM, VW is going to introduce my favorite next summer (and I might be able to afford one when the come out of lease around 2026). I've been waiting for it since it was first teased in 2004:

Despite many quitting Twitter, large numbers are joining esp in Europe and Africa. Interesting- 20% of Twitter users are in US, 2nd most users are in Japan, 3rd in India. I think with Twitter becoming more of a world wide forum Dems need to stay to keep our views out there. Do we just want Republicans preaching their stuff to the rest of the world? As of now, way more Dems than Republicans on Twitter.

(2,123 posts)You mean sharing power with working people, women, minorities? Are Republicans really interested in doing that?
Or are you talking about sharing power with all Americans as in their vote matters no matter who they are or where they live and nobody anywhere gets to decide whether it "counts" or not? For that matter, really "sharing power" means that--other than a few common sense safeguards--you don't make people jump through hoops and do back flips just so they can vote.
I can honestly say that I have had negative encounters with knee-jerk liberal/progressives who practice their own brand of intolerance. Setting that aside, it is clear to me that Republicans want to consolidate power for themselves, i.e. "professional" Republicans who hold office and the people bankrolling them. They have no sincere desire to share power with the people they gaslight into voting them and of course they don't want to share power with Democrats.
