GOP Rep. Mayra Flores slammed voters for staying home after she lost a competitive House seat.
"DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE RESULTS IF YOU DID NOT DO YOUR PART!" she said on Twitter.

Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez defeated Flores in Texas' 34th Congressional District.

Texas GOP Rep. Mayra Flores wasted no time in ripping her voters after she lost a competitive House seat during Tuesday's midterm elections.

"The RED WAVE did not happen. Republicans and Independents stayed home," Flores said on Twitter. "DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE RESULTS IF YOU DID NOT DO YOUR PART!"

Flores lost to Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez on Tuesday in Texas' 34th Congressional District, which was a rare contest between two sitting members of Congress. .....................

...............Flores was born in 1986 in Burgos Tamaulipas, Mexico, and immigrated to the US at six years old, eventually making history when she became the first Mexican-born US House member after winning a special election in June. .....................................

If you can't be bothered to vote, don't complain if your candidate loses.

Justice matters.

Well, that is what happens when you tell people elections are rigged. The people who would vote for you stay home because they think there is no point in voting.

Her supporters are just doing what their Democratic-leaning peers have done for decades now—staying home when it’s time to go to the polls instead of voting!

If no other repubs on the ballot won, she might have a point.

If other repubs on her same ballot won, it was her.

--------------------------

When several republicans are on the same ballot for different offices, the ones that win are an honest election.

The ones that lose are because of voter fraud. Or whatever excuse.

Same voter(s).

Same district number, same candidates, however it was a different district, so the voters were different. The voters that pulled her over in the special election were placed in another district for the November election. Those voters flipped an adjoining district from blue to red. Yes, it's good that Myra lost, but we did not gain a seat here. However, there is another Latino repuke that has taken her place.

If some candidate that I liked lost and then sent messages fussing at their supporters for not voting, it would not inspire me to vote for him or her anymore.
