Trump, who tried to overturn a legitimate election, files to run for president again

Source: NPR

Donald Trump, who tried to overthrow the results of the 2020 presidential election and inspired a deadly riot at the Capitol in a desperate attempt to keep himself in power, announced he is running again for president in 2024

"I am announcing my candidacy for president of the United States," Trump, 76, said flanked by massive American flags, at his Mar-a-Lago club and home in Palm Beach, Fla.

Trump claimed, "Your country is being destroyed before your eyes."

The announcement — and official filing — came just a week after the 2022 midterm elections, which saw a lackluster performance from Trump-backed Republican candidates in key Senate races and competitive House elections. As a result, Democrats were able to retain control of the Senate.

I haven’t always agreed with him, but it took courage to stand up in front of all those people and announce he’s contracted gangrene of the penis from fucking dead goats. Respect.

I fell asleep in front of the TV and missed hearing his nauseating voice.

He has no interest in serving this country. There are only 3 reasons for him to try this gimmick again:

--More grifting from his brainless minions
--Have media hanging on his every utterance again
--Try to avoid prosecution.

Finish kicking him to the curb.

"Good evening. My name is Donald J. Trump. I ran for president twice already. In 2016 three million more people voted for the most hated woman in America than voted for me. In 2020 eight million more people voted for a man whose son stopped doing blow a few years ago and only ever did about a third as much as mine. A week ago a lot of the people I endorsed for Senate, House, Governor and Dogcatcher races lost, and lost big, in an election that should have been a walk in the park for the GOP. So, since my entire party is pissed off at me right now and I'd really like to know what it's like to get defeated by ninety-three million votes, plus my handlers in the Saudi Intelligence Ministry and the Russian FSB say I better start sending them new top secret documents quick or I'm gonna get whacked...here I am again! Send lots of money, my pretties! They can't throw me in jail where I belong if I'm a presidential candidate!"
