Donald Trump on Saturday said he had no interest in returning to Twitter even as a slim majority voted in favor of reinstating the former U.S. President, who was banned from the social media service for inciting violence, in a poll organized by new owner Elon Musk.

Slightly over 15 million Twitter users voted in the poll with 51.8% voting in favor of reinstatement.

"The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated," Musk tweeted.

When I first noticed it, Yes had 52.9% to 47.1% lead.
Since that time the NO lead had been catching up, so Elon had to declare a winner, and stop the voting before the NO's overtook YES.

The NO vote increased by 1.1% in about 24 hours

If he left it open through the weekend, at the current pace, the NO's would have overtaken the YES vote.

Musk promises an audience of so many users and sells advertising based on those numbers. Then, Musk cuts the number of users in half so then sponsors are getting only half the audience looking at their ads as contracted for.
