Young Crypto Founder Shocks Industry With Sudden Death at 30 in His Sleep

Tiantian Kullander, the influential young founder of cryptocurrency company Amber Group, died suddenly in his sleep on Nov. 23, the company confirmed.
The group had just received a $3 billion valuation earlier this year, and was in the process of raising another $100 milliona meteoric success in which he played an integral role after launching Amber in 2017 with a group of finance insiders, including former Goldman Sachs Group Inc and Morgan Stanley workers.
His meteoric rise continued, and in 2019 he earned a spot on the Forbes Under 30 list.
He put his heart and soul into the company, in every stage of its growth. He led by example with his intellect, generosity, humility, diligence and creativity, the company wrote in a statement confirming his death on their website, commemorating him as a devoted husband and loving father.

(30,764 posts)in her twenties. Her family had an autopsy. They said the death was from natural causes. Her heart was enlarged. That seemed to be the only thing they found.
She had a little girl. Her grandmother and grandfather raised her.

(13,614 posts)What "shocks" me is who wrote that ham-handed that headline. Then I saw it was the daily beast, and that explained it. This probably shouldn't even be in LBN.

(3,007 posts)The verb "to shock" implies some sort of conscious decision on the part of the decedent, much in the way a celebrity might shock observers with an overly-revealing dress, or the way a convict might try to shock others by having his eyeballs tattooed.
