(1,145 posts)They know that when voters see chaos and crime many voters will blame President Biden and vote for a Strong Leader whose "tough on crime" policies will promise a "law and order solution". It is all a lie, of course, but betting on the stupidity of frightened people is usually a winning bet.

(2,412 posts)It creates fear and uncertainty .people vote more conservatively when they feel afraid. Sets up the expectation that more crimes are being committed. Then there are calls for law and order and it inspires copycat attacks as well. Chaos and upset instead of building for the future!

(19,611 posts)Near a power station that is a crime scene, they are too stupid to own a gun.

(36,328 posts)This power plant is in SC and not in NC.
According to the article, the person with the gun fired into the woods and not at the power plant

(19,611 posts)Sorry.
Perhaps a ordinance banning hunting near power stations would make sense.
It would make protecting these installations easier.

(111,329 posts)Maybe destroying the electrical grid is how those fools are planning to start their next great civil war. Yeah, making people sit in the cold and dark will really make them support your great, noble cause of restorung TFG to the monarchy he thinks he deserves.
I knew Klanners down there and they are just that stupid.

(111,329 posts)and I wonder how effective those popguns are going to be against systems like the Reaper drones. The Marching Morons will never know what hit them.
Look at that strategy in Ukraine. They're taking that in stride and resisting the Russians wherever they can. Being cold and sometimes hungry and in the dark only stiffened their resolve. It's a losing strategy for the Russians and the fascists won't win because of it here.
As much as people hate feeling pushed around by government at odds with their favorite pompadoured preachers, they're really going to hate being pushed around by some Beer Gut Brigade, especially when they've been highly inconvenienced by the loss of electricity.
