Twitter suspends journalists who have been covering Elon Musk and the company
Source: NBC News
Twitter suspended several high-profile journalists Thursday evening who have been covering the company and Elon Musk.
The suspensions come a day after Twitter changed its policies around accounts that track private jets, including one owned by Elon Musk.
The accounts of Ryan Mac of The New York Times, Donie O'Sullivan of CNN, Drew Harwell of The Washington Post, Matt Binder of Mashable, Micah Lee of The Intercept and independent journalists Aaron Rupar and Tony Webster had all been suspended as of Thursday evening.
It was not immediately clear why their accounts were suspended.
The Twitter account for Mastodon, a platform billed as an alternative, was also suspended early Thursday evening.

It's a short sighted move because Musk will lose more people and ads

(26,517 posts)Tesla...? Poorly-built, overpriced vehicles that have mainly benefited from a) having the market to themselves and b) an Apple-like "cool" image that is now blown to shreds. Besides, even if Elmo wasn't having such an extended public tantrum, Tesla would be doomed anyway as soon as the other manufacturers go all-in on EVs. When you can buy them as standard vehicles from Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Mercedes, BMW, Hyndai, Kia, Ford, Chrysler or General Motors, Tesla will be dead in the water.

(12,168 posts)...it is neither pleasant nor gratifying. Elon has been under a lot of pressure for a very long time, and I feel like he might be snapping. It could get much, much uglier before this plane lands at some point.

(7,325 posts)So now you have a POS with an ego that dwarfs Trumps. I haven't been on there since he trashed Paul Pelosi and will never go back. It's a hang out for Nazi's,Trump thugs and insurrectionists. If that "genius" thinks he's going to keep dragging $9 per month out of that crowd for nothing more than a stupid check mark he's dreaming.
