Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Rock legend Elvis, has died aged 54, her mother says.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," Priscilla Presley said.

Lisa Marie, also a singer, was earlier rushed to hospital. Media reports say she suffered cardiac arrest.

She was found unresponsive at her home in Calabasas, California, sources told US outlet TMZ.

While she lived a life of luxury and fame, it was also full of pain. That takes a toll on a person's mental and physical health.

RIP Lisa. Her oldest daughter, Riley Keogh is 33, married, and a successful actress, but her youngest daughters are only 14. I hope they can deal with their loss without courtroom battles over their custody, but I have a feeling that's coming. Their father is kind of a d-bag.

on his laptop. He wanted spousal support, but that was denied. However, she did have to pay him $4600 per month in child support. The girls are now with him. The question will be how much of their inheritance will he be allowed to have until they turn 18.
