Greene, Gosar reinstated to committee by GOP-led House after Democrats had removed them

WASHINGTON – Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Georgia GOP congresswoman stripped of her committee assignments two years ago by the Democratic-led House following a series of menacing social media posts, has been reinstated by the Republicans who now run the chamber.

Greene was named Tuesday to the Homeland Security Committee, her spokesman confirmed to USA TODAY.

In addition, Republicans reinstated Arizona GOP Rep. Paul Gosar, who similarly had been removed from his committees after being censured in 2021 for posting an anime video that was edited to show him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and attacking President Joe Biden.

Gosar was named to the Committee on Natural Resources, according to his spokesperson.

Both Greene and Gosar could still be added to other committees as House leadership releases more assignments this week.

1. What a shame that traitorous plotters are privy

to information they can use to further undermine our country. People who are elected to represent our country but love the idea of burning it down have no place in any leadership position, and it is absolutely crazy that they are on committees. People like these do not represent me.

people, which is also true of most Republicans today. Greene should only be on a committee to study space lasers since she thinks that their Jewish owners start California fires with them. Or maybe a new committee to study the harmful effects of conspiracy theories on democracy since she knows a lot about those.

They'll eat it up like halloween Milky Way bars and say the most ignorant crap ever uttered by a "distinguished lady and gentleman" ever.

Gosar on Natural resources? He'll drill where he can't strip mine and clear cut what's left.
And that ignorant harpy on Homeland Security? That'll blow up in all our faces when she dismantles the FBI, TSA, and any other mixture of the alphabet that keeps us safe.

The USA has gone through some rough patches, but we've made headway in the past 50 years. Those days of improvement are on hold now
