US Africa Command reports an air strike in support of government troops in Somalia killed approximately 30 Islamist al-Shabab militants.

(510 posts)2. Good point. The international community was quick to recognize South Sudan.
But recognizing Somaliland is one issue-- repairing the economy, gov't. and infrastructure of Somalia is another-- which may be the way to de-fang al-Shabab (and piracy).
