SAYREVILLE, New Jersey (WABC) -- A team of investigators is looking into every aspect of Sayreville Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour's life - personal, professional, religious - as they search for her killer.

The FBI is now "involved" in the investigation, which includes Sayreville police and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.

"We are aware of the investigation into the death of Councilwoman Dwumfour, in Sayreville Wednesday evening. We have talked with our local law enforcement partners at the Sayreville Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. Should they ask us for any assistance, we will do all we can to help their investigation," the FBI said in a statement.

The 30-year-old was found inside her white Nissan SUV with multiple gunshot wounds on Samuel Circle just before 7:30 p.m., officials said. They think her car traveled about 100 feet before slamming into two parked cars.

I ***think*** I just heard on WNYC that they have a suspect.

Unsure of what I heard, so take with a grain of salt.

on edit: I later (about 4 p.m.) heard them say there is no suspect at this time.

Every assault on a politician, especially a Democrat, now needs to be investigated for potential assassination attempts.

They are already imprisoning rappers based on their slightly tangential relationship to a murder (last night's Daily show bore witness to that) in some place ville America. This is what happens in Russia too with rappers and perhaps serves as a model for suppression.

So it is time for hate talk radio, hate talk TV, hate talk religion, hate talk social media to walk the same plank.

so if it was politically motivated, I'd strongly suspect a rabid misogynist first and someone who saw her as a RINO, second.

Let the local Anti-Americanist Party Committee spend their own (stolen) money to investigate it. And then round-file it.

No FBI involvement! They have important business to deal with.
