China weighs in on the war in Ukraine, pushing Europe to stop trying to get Kyiv a 'complete victory

Source: msn

China warned the West against pushing for Ukraine's "complete victory" over Russia.
"We are quite concerned about the possible escalation of this conflict," China's diplomat to the EU said.
The Chinese diplomat said Beijing believes negotiations would be a better route forward.

Awful dictatorship supporting another awful dictatorship, shocker.

China big mad because they know Taiwan would get as much or even more help from the west than Ukraine is getting. The CCP knows it’s on its last leg, I hope the Chinese citizens do Xi like the Italians did Mussolini.

Basically invade a sovereign nation, occupy it, send a sizable portion of its people into exile, decimate its culture and history, and annex it, as in: "This is part of China now. Always was, always had been..."

In some ways you could say Tibet is China's Ukraine.

And China had no reason to do this.
They have plenty of land, people and resources.

They do it for the same reason Putin does it, because they can.
And want to be in control of everyone.

ETA: Like the GOP is doing in the US. Get as much control as possible.

Oh that's right, Russia. Both Russia and China are mad that other states won't bow to them. Now in regards to Russia, here's a thought. Perhaps Russia should be careful about what they wish for with China. Now this is not likely and it is more a hypothetical scenario. What if China sees Russia as weak and decides, "Okay, we'll invade Russia and take Russian territory"? I mean, Russia is having a difficult time in Ukraine, and they are so stretched out over land that I don't think they can cover all that territory. What does China know about Ukraine other than what Russia tells them? No one can believe anything China says except those influenced by Russian propaganda, and yes, that includes other countries like India, who doesn't like China, but their government and a lot of, if not most of their media tend to be pro-Russia. Like Ukraine, Taiwan has made it clear they do not want to be in an authoritarian government.

If you consider that means the victor completely defeats the loser, that would mean Ukraine controlling Russia. Yet, that is not the goal of Ukraine or NATO. Ukraine's stated goal is achieving control of all of Ukraine including Crimea.

I would assume that China is saying Ukraine should not get that. Russia should be given part of Ukraine. The problem is this means that against a powerful neighbor, sovereignty means nothing.

They are unrelenting in their pressure, like the Authoritarian party with the slim majority in the House of Representatives.

When authoritarians control all the levers, they do things like crush Uyghurs and Hong Kong. They do things like control the population with Social Credit Scoring.
