Dozens of Mar-a-Lago staff, from servers to aides, are subpoenaed in classified documents probe

Source: CNN

At least two dozen people – from Mar-a-Lago resort staff to members of Donald Trump’s inner circle at the Florida estate – have been subpoenaed to testify to a federal grand jury that’s investigating the former president’s handling of classified documents, multiple sources familiar with the investigation told CNN.

On Thursday, Trump’s communications aide Margo Martin, who worked in the White House and then moved with Trump to Florida, appeared before the grand jury in Washington, DC. One of special counsel Jack Smith’s senior-most prosecutors was involved in the interview.

Martin, who is among a small group of former White House advisers who have remained employed by Trump after he left office, declined to answer any questions when approached by a CNN reporter.

Smith has sought testimony from a range of people close to Trump – from his own attorneys who represent him in the matter to staffers who work on the grounds of Mar-a-Lago, including a housekeeper and restaurant servers, sources said.

and know what this means as far as a timeline for a possible indictment. Is this an indication that there is a long way to go? Or does this signal that Smith is nearing the end?

We know Trump Inc. spoke to early witnesses in the probe and asked them to be "loyal". I'm guessing out-right threats would work even better on his employees AND their families.

The scope of Jack Smith's investigation is leaving no stone unturned and I'm sure he'll recommend several indictments.

The only way Trump or anyone is going to escape is if Garland fails to prosecute and if he doesn't we are truly lost as a people and a country.

Jack Smith will end up issuing subpoenas to every Floridian and it may take a little time to get the sworn testimony from all of us. Be patient people...It is time to quit dribbling and start shooting. The clock is running, Jack, take the damn shot already.

In November 2022, U.S. Attorney General, Merrick Garland, appointed Smith an independent special counsel, responsible for overseeing two preexisting DOJ criminal investigations into former president Donald Trump

What happen between April 21 until Nov 22 when Jack showed up ? A little slow walk maybe ?
