CNN and Don have parted ways, the network said in a statement on Monday. Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years. We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavors.
The network said Mr. Lemons morning show, which he hosted with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, would continue. CNN This Morning has been on the air for nearly six months, and we are committed to its success, CNN said.

(17,749 posts)I think Haley is past her prime - and that has nothing to do with her gender but rather her political history.

(1,302 posts)I believe he was demoted to morning show due to his truth telling and attitude towards Trump and his administration gas lighting the public. He took no prisoner. The Haley comment and reportedly comment off air to a fellow female worker (that she was interrupting him too much not allowing him to complete his thoughts on air) pushed him out.
No equivalency w/Tucker and I enjoyed him on ocassion in his 10 pm slot for truth telling.

(17,749 posts)Are unattainable. Youll see the comments below and understand this post.
If we are going to hate (and subsequently fire) every anchor that makes a misstatement (but yet is a fellow Democrat who outspokenly supports Democratic ideals), we are going to look pretty foolish in my opinion.
He apologized for the statement and Im not going to despise him over the incident.
I agree with your assessment as to why he was fired and thank you for your reply.

(3,008 posts)natural (or man-made) disasters... but I did see him with Chris Cuomo a few times, when one was handing off the time slot to the other, and I hated their "Best Bros" shtick.
I had only recently heard a little of his misogynist backstory, but it seems the Haley "prime" comment (and other recent stupidity) were just the final straw:

hamsterjill
(17,749 posts)Say what you will about him, his show drew viewers and ratings. CNN still hasnt figured out what to do with its evening lineup since Cuomo left. Most of what theyve shown in the evenings has been crap.
Im not a fan of Tapper but I know he has a following.

(13,160 posts)And a few others are gathering at another news site headed by the guy, Abrams, that does the Live PD shows. Don would be happy to reunite with Chis over there. Maybe they can counter News Max or OAN just a little. Officer Sticks could do a slot for the ladies.
