The former Trump official is apparently furious about the candy maker's diversity efforts, and he's taking it up with the federal government
(snip)
America First Legal, the legal activist group founded by former Trump adviser Stephen Miller, on Wednesday filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) against Mars Inc., the maker of M&s. The pro-Trump nonprofit alleges Mars efforts to increase diversity and representation of minorities within its workforce constitutes discrimination and a violation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
The move comes just days after Fox News fired its former prime-time host and sexy-M&M devotee Tucker Carlson. Carlson famously feuded with Mars after it swapped out the green M&Ms go-go boots for professional attire it called current and representative of our consumer. In a televised rant, the former Fox host moaned that the green candy is no longer wearing sexy boots, now shes wearing sensible sneakers, and lamented that when youre totally turned off, weve achieved equity, theyve won.
Miller did not respond to questions about whether the complaint was related to Carlsons ouster.

Can you even imagine a bag of M&M's that isn't based on diversity?

(1,454 posts)Second, how on Earth does he even have standing to bring this case ? How has he personally been injured by the diversity hiring practices of M&M/Mars ? Did he apply for a job there and get told, "Sorry, we have our quota of Nazi bastards for the time being."
Go away Stephen. Crawl back into whatever slime pit sewer hole you crawled out of and stay there. We're so over you.

(1,454 posts)Having worked for the EEOC years ago, these letters are viewed, as . . . how shall I say this . . . material for the "round file." They are nothing but time-wasting for the poor soul that has to read them. They accomplish nothing and go no where. The EEOC has always been understaffed and overburdened with serious issues of discrimination. It is appalling that Stephen Miller and his fellow fascists are trying to score cheap political points with this utter garbage.
