DeSantis says, if elected president, he'd consider pardons for Jan. 6 offenders
Source: Washington Post
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Thursday that, if elected president, he would consider pardoning some of those convicted on charges related to the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
Hosts of the conservative “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show” asked DeSantis if he thinks Jan. 6 defendants “deserve to have their cases examined by a Republican president,” and whether he would pardon former president Donald Trump if he were “charged with federal offenses.” DeSantis said that on his first day in office, he would “have folks that will get together and look at all these cases.” “Now, some of these case, some people may have a technical violation of the law,” DeSantis said. “But if there are three other people who did the same thing but just in a context, like [the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020] and they don’t get prosecuted at all, that is uneven application of justice, and so … we will use the pardon power.” Twice in the interview, DeSantis avoided directly answering questions on whether he’d pardon Trump but left open the possibility. 2. Can the Democrats PLEASE hire The Lincoln Project folks?
Democrats are historically terrible at messaging. Offend no one, go high. So sick of their meekness. Yes they have gotten more tough with their responses, but sorry, the bar is now much higher. They are still sounding like this is 2015, and Trump and his Republican sycophants ushering a new age of fascism are only some mild quazi threat.
This is just ONE example of how any freshman, who may not be charismatic at all, should be able to use this as a huge weapon against Republicans and DeSantis. They need the willingness first to be more aggressive, and second they need a professional and talented ad team. Its how it is framed. TLP knows how to go to full Def Con 1 with their ads. Not afraid to call a traitor a traitor. But the DNC just hasn't been able to cross that bridge. A bridge too far. Don't use incendiary language or make them look too bad. My gawd you'd think they were CNN executives. |

12. The Lincoln Project is doing fine just where it is. Dems need to have their own, & I notice Biden...
…and the Dems have been running ads informing people of this administration’s accomplishments.

19. Stop
Please stop.
They do just fine at messaging. The problem is the traitor media. They don't give Democrats equal access, nor fair coverage. Haven't for a long time now. You could have the best message in the world, and it does you no good if nobody covers it. I know it's hard for you Democrat-bashers to face reality, but try it for a change. |

Yes Ron, that’s exactly what our enemies want. So pander away. Get freedom haters to vote for you because like trump, you love stupid people. And stupid people don’t care if they lose their freedoms. Apparently stupid people (conservatives) wouldn’t know it until about two years after it happens. After all they are stupid. Better then bitcoin to conservative candidates.

9. Clay and Buck are the hosts who replaced Rush Limbaugh.
Did you know Clay Travis actually used to be a Democrat, having been an intern for Nashville Rep. Bob Clement and then a campaign worker]for Al Gore in 2000 then Nashville Rep. Jim Cooper in 2002 (before getting fired for crashing Cooper's wife's car)?

16. This doesn't mean much, other than it's DeSantis pandering for cheap votes
There's really no chance of him getting the Grand Old Losers' Party nomination, is there? And even if he did, he'd never under any circumstances, actually win the Presidency.
If DeSantis became our President, it means we're so far gone down the rabbit hole that we might as well start goose-stepping and saying "Sieg Heil". Nope, never gonna happen. ![]() ![]() |

18. Yeah, no one attacked the Capitol during the BLM protests.
No one conducted a Seditious Conspiracy to overthrow the Government.
People WERE prosecuted for their actions during the BLM protests. Both locally and federally. Ron may not be old enough to know, but prosecution of Leftist protestors is something the FBI has done very well for decades. |
