Matthew 5:18 is the verse stating that OT laws are in effect as long as the earth exists. You know, the laws calling for the murder of homosexuals, allowing slavery, allowing women to be treated as second class citizens, allowing the murder of disobedient children, making child rape acceptable (Numbers 31), promoting kidnapping and rape to force women into marriage, promoting anti-Semitism (also perpetuated in Matthew 3: 7), and even destroying free speech and free association (see the first five 10 stupid rules).

That one verse makes all of that hate and violence hunky-dory with the religion.

Oh, and don't forget how it's okay to torture people for thought crimes (3:10-12). Not for a few minutes. Forever. Just what do you think hell is, anyway?

Maybe the book isn't as "liberal" as you want it to be.
