Sinema outraised by Gallego again, further clouding her future

Source: Político

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who shook up the 2024 landscape last year when she became an independent, was outraised by her chief Democratic challenger for the second consecutive quarter — again by a nearly two-to-one margin.

Sinema, who has not said whether or not she will seek a second term next year, raised $1.7 million from April 1 through June 30. Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), who launched a bid for her seat in January, brought in $3.1 million in that same period.

Sinema has stockpiled nearly $10.8 million in her bank account — almost three times more than Gallego — but the representative has shown considerable momentum. He outraised her by a similar ratio in the first three months of the year.

The reports, which were due Saturday, add another layer of intrigue to what is potentially the most complicated Senate contest of the cycle. Senate Democrats are not only closely watching how Sinema and Gallego’s campaigns progress, they’re looking for some insight into whether she chooses to run again at all.

I went WAY outside my comfort zone and volunteered to work the phone banks to GOTV for her. (I hate telephones, but have a radio announcers voice that really sells the message.)
It's one of my greatest regrets. Even though I no longer live in Arizona, I really want to see her kicked to the curb!

Her…or wanted to trust her. I wouldn’t blame myself. She fooled a lot of ppl. She kept her intentions well hidden.

I think she’s toast regardless of how she runs, dem or independent. She won’t win a dem primary. if she switches to gqp, the conservative minority won’t vote for her.

Money isn’t everything in politics, if it were the ‘18 and ‘22 midterms and all the special elections since would not have gone to the Dems

She's already done all the damage they wanted her to do.

If the Repukes actually took her into their party, and then elected her - they'd be sorely disappointed.

She’s an openly bisexual woman. How’s that fit with their radical right agenda?!

I don’t remember any from the first few months of the year. I wish she would just drop out and go cash in with a huge salary from one of the big corporations she supports.

However her run as an independent may ensure that a Republican wins.

Because the DU is neutral in Democratic races, it will stay UN-official until there is a winner in the primary next year.

Make no mistake - she will run if she thinks it will elect a GOPer and you will see her surrounded by GOP operatives.

She needs to decide if she wants to be a spoiler or not. She DID vote for most Democratic bills & votes with Biden over 90% of the time, so would she REALLY want to be the cause of a Kari Lake taking her place???
