Fulton County DA urges staff not to respond to Trump campaign ad
Source: ABC News
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has responded to a recent attack ad from former President Donald Trump, writing in an internal memo sent to staff urging them not to respond and reminding them that "we have a job to do," according to a copy of the memo obtained by ABC News.
"We have no personal feelings against those we investigate or prosecute and we should not express any," Willis wrote in the memo on Wednesday. "This is business, it will never be personal."
The memo came in response, Willis wrote, to an attack ad taken out by Donald Trump to run in the Atlanta area to run through Sunday. In the memo, Willis told her staff not to "comment in anyway on the ad or the negativity that may be expressed against me, your colleagues, this office in the coming days, weeks or months."
"In this office, we prosecute based on the facts and the law. This law is non-partisan. You should feel no need to defend me," she wrote. "I am not concerned with the calls, emails, or ads and you should not concern yourself with them." The Trump Campaign recently released an ad which attacked Willis with a number of unproven or exaggerated allegations.

(6,115 posts)He needs to be arraigned soon and conditions of his release need to be explicit - no social media, period, no ads in newspapers, no editorials (as if he could write), no contact with the public about this case or any Georgia official or any of his co-conspirators. Period.
Then throw him in jail when he violates it, because he will violate it.
Willis needs to hurry up and indict him before he poisons the jury pool more. He's getting away with it now.

Calm and competency isnt what media wants to publish though, ask the current president about that.

All this type of thing does is eventually invite a gag order. It won't happen immediately, but it may escalate to that point.
Roger Stone tried the same thing (although more with his circus antics outside of the courthouse and on social media), and FAFO.
