Donald Trump sued his former ‘fixer’ and personal lawyer Michael Cohen on April 12 for $500 million in federal court in Florida.

Fortunately, the federal judge ordered that Trump promptly sit for a deposition. The deposition date is currently set for September 6 in Miami. But Donald Trump is now refusing to sit for deposition unless the proceeding is kept confidential under a protective order.

No way says Michael Cohen.

Cohen is asking the court for the deposition to be made public the same way the frivolous lawsuit filed by Trump against Cohen is a public document. Trump is also demanding the scope of his deposition be narrowly limited to questions that Trump wants to answer.

A hearing is now scheduled for August 18 in Florida federal court to decide if a protective order will be entered, its potential scope, and the scope of the deposition by Cohen’s legal team.

This lawsuit will be dropped and Cohen knows it, because he knows Chump. Cohen has the training of a lawyer after all, even though he's no longer allowed to practice the law.

So these proceedings will go like any other lawsuit, with both sides giving their depositions for the record. Whoops! Chump doesn't want to participate in discovery. He'll have to give his depo under oath and he can be caught in his web of lies. Cohen of course knows this, and he also knows that Chump's only way out is to drop the lawsuit. That's the source of his bravado against big bully Chump.
