Russian state TV is absolutely delighted about Speaker Kevin McCarthy's decision to not allow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to address a joint session of Congress.

RT, the English language Russian media propaganda outlet said in a piece on McCarthy Thursday, "while backing Ukraine against Russia remains a popular position for Republicans, there are growing signs of pushback against maintaining the current level of assistance."

They then played a clip of McCarthy saying, "is Zelensky a member of Congress? Is he our President? I don't think I have to commit anything."

He should probably resign, but the bill to fund the government needs to pass first. Republican voters who think it’s great fun to elect ignorant people to Congress whose only purpose is to cause chaos and grandstand on issues of grave importance to the country are a huge problem now. People who voted for candidates like Gaetz, Greene, and Boebert knew that they were voting for total incompetence. But evidently they hate the US so much that they want it to fail. There is very little patriotism left in the Republican Party.
