Oxford School Shooter to Get Life in Prison Without Parole

Source: Daily Beast

A Michigan teenager will be sentenced to life in prison without parole for shooting and killing four Oxford High School students in 2021. Judge Kwamé Rowe made the ruling on Friday after spending the summer hearing from prosecutors, witnesses, and mental health experts, and viewing evidence including footage of the massacre and the teen’s time in custody and graphic journal entries. Ethan Crumbley, who was 15 at the time of the shooting, pleaded guilty last year to first-degree murder charges for killing schoolmates Hana St. Juliana, 14; Tate Myre, 16; Madisyn Baldwin, 17; and Justin Shilling, 17. While adults are given automatic life sentences for first-degree murder in Michigan, Rowe could have chosen a shorter imprisonment due to his Crumbley’s age. But, according to AP, he stated during Friday’s virtual hearing that “the defendant’s possibility of rehabilitation is slim” since he “could not stop his obsession with violence, even while incarcerated.” A formal sentencing is set for December 8.

As always, my one overriding wish in all this is that he spends every minute of every hour of every day for the rest of his life regretting such a horrible monstrous act. Knowing that it wasn't worth it. Knowing that he would be as free as air if he had taken even five seconds to re-consider his planned actions.

The report says he is beyond rehabilitation, and that's probably true. I just hope he isn't beyond regret. I want his every second to be an eternity. A mind-paralyzing, soul-crushing, agonizing eternity.

Just because I'm opposed to the death penalty doesn't mean I'm opposed to punishing murderers...

And that's the reason life without parole is too cruel.

He deserves some punishment, and therapy, but given his parents and life, a life sentence is too harsh.*

* I was going to say "Republican."

His parents are culpable for this, too! Shame on them for letting their son get to this point without getting him help.

who texted "LOL, I'm not mad at you, next time just don't get caught " should get life in prison too. They encouraged his actions, provided the weapons and thought it so great....then they went on the run from the police. They even wrote many letters supporting tRump and their son wrote in his journals that he hoped his actions will help tRump and hurt Biden when he gets caught. The whole psycho family is rotten to the core.

Just yesterday I was discussing this shithole family with a friend and teacher and how they are all guilty and should be held accountable. This is the 3rd synchronicity/coincidence I have had in 24 hours. Man, I'd better stop "thinking". I am getting spooked.

They are "Crumbley", there's a picture of the 3 of them and they look deranged.

Thank goodness they didn't have other kids and this is the end of that collection of genes.
