Israel, Hezbollah exchange artillery, rocket fire

Source: Reuters

Oct 8 (Reuters) - Israel and Lebanon's powerful armed group Hezbollah exchanged artillery and rocket fire on Sunday following the deadliest attack in years by Palestinian gunmen on Israel. There were no immediate reports of casualties in either Lebanon or Israel from Sunday's exchanges of fire.

On Saturday, a multi-pronged attack by Palestinian gunmen on Israeli towns left at least 250 Israelis dead, with more than 300 Palestinians killed in Israel's retaliatory bombardment.

Hezbollah, an armed party backed by Iran, said on Sunday it had launched guided rockets and artillery onto three posts in the Shebaa Farms "in solidarity" with the Palestinian people.

The Israeli military said on Sunday it fired artillery into an area of Lebanon where cross-border fire was launched. "IDF (Israel Defense Forces) artillery is currently striking the area in Lebanon from where a shooting was carried out," it said.

Must be jumping for joy at this news. They probably think this means Jesus is going to come back any moment now.

Instead of "Where's Waldo" how about "Where's Jesus?"

Careful. Bibi's government may live or die based on their response to these attacks and that response is liable to be overwhelmingly violent. When the smoke clears, I think Netanyahu's government is toast regardless of what they do from here on out, but in an attempt to save some face, the response will be overwhelming. Israel's pissed and Hezbollah doesn't want any piece of that action.

6. Yes, with what looks to be a TOTAL intel failure, it could blow back on him

Maybe if he'd been more focused on security instead of taking over the courts things may have been different.
As top-notch as Israel's intel forces usually are its an embarrassing failure. But as one of our Intel heads said long ago, "We have to be right 100% of the time. They only have to be right ONE time"
But with what the Palestinians have done THIS time; its time to take them ALL out. Dont leave any to carry out the NEXT attack.

That the missles fired by Hezbo were launched from a high school and mosque. They like to use kids as cover.

Hamas and Hezbollah have been doing it routinely for decades and covering it up. Think everyone knows it already.
